Johnathan (GQ) Bowers,III and Ivanna Matsuka developed their professional partnership many years ago, and since that time, they have been entertaining audiences on many stages in the United States
They both have a very extensive background in performing arts. Johnathan (GQ) started his career at a very early age, studying classical, jazz, and modern dance from the best dance companies on the East Coast. Johnathan is a Dance Champion in Jazz and Free Style Dance and was the choreographer of three major television shows. Johnathan is well-known in the dance community for his devotion to teaching dance and for his charisma.
Ivanna started dancing when she was five years old. She has an extensive academic background in classical ballet, jazz Flamenco, and Ukrainian folk dance. She started her professional career as a dancer at the age of thirteen. Ivanna brings her elegant style and a great multicultural experience in both dance and theater to the partnership.
Together, Johnathan and Ivanna have won numerous Ballroom championships in the prestigious Theater Arts Division. They have choreographed and participated in many theatrical productions and dance festivals. In June 2007, at the spectacular Maryland Dancesport Championships, Johnathan and Ivanna performed their widely acclaimed Rumba Show Dance routine before Tony Dovolani and Elena Grinenko, of the worldwide popular show “Dancing with the Stars,” performed their show for the night.
They were winners of the 2012 Rising Star Latin division at the Maryland Dancesport Championships. They have been finalists in the Maryland and Virginia State Dancesport Championships. They were second place winners in the 2011 Washington Dancesport Championships and in the Washington Yuletide Ball Championships and semi-finalists in the Philadelphia Festival and Capital Dancesport Championships.
Johnathan and Ivanna perform shows and engagements up and down the East Coast, and they are available for performing and coaching.
