Why Ballroom Dance?
We have all heard that sitting too much is bad for you, but going to the gym can become monotonous. I don’t know about you, but running on a treadmill makes me feel like a giant hamster. After a while, my motivation to go simply wanes. On the other hand, taking ballroom dance lessons, is so much fun that you will want to do it forever, and it will take your mind off the fact that you are actually getting great exercise. Some of the many benefits that it has include improving posture and flexibility, increasing confidence and poise, and getting you off your seat and moving.
Our Approach to Dance
Because of our extensive background in classical dance forms, we at GQ Ballroom believe that dance, including ballroom dancing, is an art form that incorporates balance, which many ballroom dance instructors neglect, then body movement, and direction. We dance because we love the art; we do not consider ballroom dancing an industry.
Why Choose Us?
Unlike many instructors you find at the average ballroom dance studio, ours have decades of ballroom dance experience and were already acclaimed dancers in their own right, before even entering the ballroom world; so you know, when you take lessons with us, that you are being trained by people who can actually dance. Also, because we view ballroom dancing as an art and not a job, we are passionate about passing along our art to you and making you the very best dancers that you can be. As you improve, we will never try to hold you back, just to make money off of you. We want our students to become great dancers. If you look good, we look good.
